Sustainability [suh-stey-nuh-bil-i-tee] - the quality of not effecting the environment so that resources are available for future generations of organisms.
I believe the most radical political move one person or a group of people can make is to grow their own food.
Gardens capture sunlight energy, generate resources, and empower people to take control of their impact on this planet. I have found purpose for my art through environmental design and will pursue a career that encourages the development of sustainable practices and community building. I will always consider myself a student, and am eager to learn outside the classroom through educational opportunities. Volunteerism will continue to be a part of my life at the FGCU Food Forest and other community projects.
